MEP Commissioning Manager
About the Role
We are looking for an MEP Commissioning Manager/Coordinator to join our team in one of the following locations: Ohio, Chicago, Indiana, or Washington, D.C. This is a full-time, in-person position.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full MEP commissioning process from preconstruction through closeout, including Factory Witness Testing (FWT/FAT), Integrated Systems Testing (IST), and final commissioning documentation.
- Develop and manage commissioning schedules, coordinating all required commissioning activities.
- Review commissioning scripts and collaborate with commissioning agents to ensure best practices.
- Utilize and enhance commissioning tools to support project execution.
- Coordinate staffing and resources with field associates and trade partners for all commissioning efforts.
- Oversee installation, start-up, and testing of MEP systems to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Review, approve, and maintain commissioning plans, procedures, and related documentation.
- Confirm inspections, testing, and required documentation are completed prior to equipment energization.
- Ensure commissioning activities comply with Holder’s safety standards and Energy Control Program (ECP).
- Develop and implement Methods of Procedure (MOPs) and Action Plans for commissioning tasks.
- Maintain safe work conditions and oversee equipment protection during commissioning.
- Maintain comprehensive commissioning documentation, schedules, test procedures, and performance reports.
- Track and report commissioning progress, issues, and resolutions throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 8–10 years of commercial construction experience with large, sophisticated mechanical and electrical systems.
- Extensive commissioning experience on data centers and complex infrastructure projects.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage schedules, and coordinate with owners, designers, commissioning agents, and trade partners.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
