Manager

Holder Construction is an ENR Top 30 Construction industry leader with operations throughout the United States. We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Construction Project Controls/Program Manager to oversee the successful execution of our construction projects. We are currently seeking highly motivated construction professionals to join our company on a large, complex project in Ft. Wayne, IN.

 

As the Project Controls/Program Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all functions of project controls ensuring adherence to budgets, schedules, and quality standards.  You will also oversee the coordination of resources and the change management process while maintaining effective communication with stakeholders throughout the life of the project.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Execute program cost projections/forecasting, ensuring consistency in monthly program-level cost/fee projections.
  • Provide oversight of program general conditions cost projections.
  • Manage the internal and external cash flow of the project, including analysis of multiple component cash flow.
  • Lead the accounting team in ensuring a timely and accurate owner billing process, establishing, and overseeing processes for reviews and billing submissions.
  • Establish and manage the check selection process, ensuring adherence to proper payment release procedures.
  • Manage the change management team to ensure timely submission of changes and compliance with prime contract requirements.
  • Establish and oversee processes for internal and external change reviews.  Provide guidance on funding issues.  
  • Develop necessary reporting and metrics to monitor the health of the change management backlog, emphasizing quantity, magnitude, and aging.
  • Establish and implement scheduling processes and procedures to ensure project success both internally and externally.
  • Coordinate with the scheduling team, ensuring timely updates and submissions of schedules.
  • Establish and oversee processes for internal and external schedule updating and review.
  • Conduct time impact analysis as required.
  • Develop and oversee a document control process for written correspondence, drawings, and specifications.
  • Generate deliverables that meet all prime contract reporting requirements and manage their timely submission.
  • Coordinate with the project team to meet all diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) project requirements including Equal Business Opportunity (EBO) goals
  • Oversee integration and coordination of Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) processes with project needs as required.
  • Assist the overall project in developing processes and procedures for various workflows, including RFI’s, Submittals, Material Status tracking, Design Management, Risk Management, Quality, and Closeout.
  • Monitor established processes to ensure expectations are met and continue to meet program needs.
  • Establish, monitor, and adapt processes for project Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).

 

Requirements for this position:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in construction management or related construction degree
  • 5 to 10 years of commercial construction experience.
  • Proven experience as a Construction Program Manager.
  • Strong knowledge of construction industry practices, codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Possess outstanding communication, time management skills, and computer skills.
