Fleet Manager
Holder Construction Company is an ENR Top 30 Construction Company with operations throughout the United States. We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join our company in a Fleet Manager position in Atlanta, GA.
The Fleet Manager is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of the company’s fleet of 300+ vehicles, from purchasing or leasing to disposal and reporting. This position will involve managing all aspects of fleet acquisition, maintenance, registration, and insurance, while also monitoring and reporting on fleet costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fleet Procurement & Lifecycle Management:
- Oversee the purchasing and leasing of vehicles, managing the entire fleet lifecycle from acquisition to disposal.
- Work with associates and dealerships to select and purchase fleet vehicles, ensuring that choices meet business needs and budgetary guidelines.
- Manage the sale or trade-in process for fleet vehicles when applicable.
- Supervise the procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of vehicles.
- Budgeting & Cost Analysis:
- Analyze vehicle costs and create annual budgets for vehicle purchasing, leasing, and maintenance.
- Track and monitor fleet expenses, including acquisition, maintenance, fuel, and insurance costs, ensuring compliance with budget.
- Registration, Titling & Compliance:
- Oversee the timely completion of purchase paperwork, titling, and registration for all vehicles.
- Ensure that the fleet is compliant with local and state regulations regarding vehicle titles and registrations.
- Maintain an accurate database of all fleet registrations and title information.
- Insurance Management:
- Report vehicles to the company’s insurance carrier, ensuring that all vehicles are adequately insured and in compliance with insurance policies.
- Address any claims or insurance issues promptly.
- Fleet Maintenance & Repairs:
- Collaborate with associates to identify and manage maintenance and repair needs for fleet vehicles.
- Approve necessary repairs and maintenance, ensuring that work is completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Fuel Card Process Management:
- Manage and oversee the company’s fuel card program, ensuring proper usage and reporting.
- Track fuel expenses and investigate any discrepancies or unusual patterns in fuel consumption.
- Fleet Reporting:
- Prepare and present regular fleet reports to management, detailing fleet performance, cost analysis, and any areas of concern.
- Provide insights into fleet optimization opportunities, recommending cost-saving measures and efficiency improvements.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in fleet management, vehicle procurement, or a related field.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of fleet procurement, registration, and titling processes.
- Proficient in budget analysis and cost management.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to work with dealerships and service providers.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with fuel management systems and reporting.
- Knowledge of local and state vehicle registration and insurance requirements.
