Sr. Payroll Specialist
Holder Construction is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to join our project team in Atlanta, GA.
Primary responsibilities:
- Assist in processing of semi-monthly & off cycle payroll for over 1,500 associates
- Prepare payroll journal entries
- Prepare bank reconciliation for payroll cash accounts
- Resolve employee payroll inquiries and discrepancies.
- Review payrolls to ensure accuracy of taxable income, state and local set ups
- Stay up to date on payroll legislation and implement in payroll system
- Work with ADP to resolve payroll notices and ensure that ADP is responding promptly and accurately
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in payroll administration
- 401K plan administration is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- ADP experience is strongly preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills. Lookups and pivot table are a must.
- Strong analytical skills and attentiveness to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy of employee information.
- Ability to research, understand, and apply federal, state and local regulations.
