About the Role
We are looking for a BIM/VDC Senior Engineer to join our Virtual Design & Construction team in Phoenix, Arizona. This is a full-time, in-person position.
Key Responsibilities
• Facilitate problem-solving using technology and collaboration with internal and external project teams
• Coordinate the workload of yourself and others for one or more projects with VDC Manager(s)
• Ensure modeling efforts and deliverables are completed to solve construction issues
• Understand and contribute to the VDC coordination schedule by tracking responsibilities of all relevant stakeholders
• Ensure the team identifies and resolves coordination conflicts using clash detection in Navisworks
• Lead clash resolution and coordination meetings, seeing all items through to completion
• Apply modeling best practices and company standards to produce accurate models
• Conduct quality reviews of modeled scope from others and confirm compliance with contract documents
• Ensure the team applies concepts from training sessions and lessons learned to facilitate project coordination
• Deliver VDC services in accordance with company standards and best practices
• Train and develop the professional skills of fellow team members
• Understand and contribute to VDC goals and company initiatives
Qualifications
Required:
• 3–5 years of BIM/VDC experience working on commercial construction projects
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Computer Graphics, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent combination of training and experience
• Proficiency with 3D modeling and coordination tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment as well as independently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and other applicable tools
• Strong working knowledge of contract documents, drawings, specifications, and project schedules
• Strong understanding of construction management processes (RFIs, Submittals, Shop Drawings)
• Outstanding communication and time management skills
• Willingness to relocate and travel
Preferred:
• Ability to help teammates learn, grow, and develop their professional skills
• Experience training others in VDC tools and processes
