Prominence in Buckhead is an 18 story, 450,000 square foot Class "A" speculative office building with a 1,350 car, 7 story parking deck. The building skin is architectural precast with kershaw granite veneer. The main lobby consists of granite and marble slab floors and a combination of granite, marble and anigre wood millwork walls. The development includes a four-star restaurant and on-site retail for amenities. Holder's Interior Construction Group completed the tenant build-out for Suntrust AMA, MBNA Bank, and a two-floor call center for Security First Network Bank.
Special care was taken to minimize the impact to the site and the surrounding community. Originally the surrounding neighborhoods opposed development of this site. The 12 acre site was heavily wooded and sat at a prominent location in Buckhead. In order to gain approval, the owner committed to keeping 50% of the site landscaped and saved several large trees. Holder worked with the design team to locate the building and the parking deck to minimize disruption to the site, “hiding” the parking deck behind the building and out of site from the neighboring communities. This building successfully maintained the setting in a cost efficient manner.
