IPD for Public and Private Owners

Just released, this new publication, IPD for Public and Private Owners, does a nice job of capturing the current uses of the term, "integrated project delivery (IPD)".

With the terms "integration" and "collaboration" being used almost interchangeably, the publication introduces three typical levels of collaboration. The three levels represent the evolution that owners go through starting with "level one collaboration" or the way many owners have been collaborating for years.

The paper discusses both true IPD (with a multi-party contract) and IPD-lite (without a multi-party contract).

Probably the best advice it offers is for Owners, especially public owners who might be limited in their ability to use a multi-party contract, to try the multi-party contract on a 'pilot' project (vs. trying to change their statutes or regulations).

Hi Mike, Can I just say you rock dude. Thanks for your R/D on the latest Lingo in our business. I am a Senior Estimator in Southern Cal. I was brushing up on the latest and your CM@R paper showed up and I have been through your website getting a refresher course. Thanks again. I actually feel like I have been enlightened about all these crazy terms we have these days. Your CM,DB,DBB or whatever delivery method explanations were precise and clear, no bogus info , right to the point, and all in laymens terms...thanks again
Allison
